Access Control
Know who came in, and when
Biometric and card access, gate automation, turnstiles and time-and-attendance — controlling who gets in, and giving you the record afterwards.
Access control answers two questions: who is allowed in, and who actually came in. The first is about security. The second turns out to matter just as much — for payroll disputes, contractor accountability, and knowing who was on site when something happened.
We install systems sized to the site. A small office may need nothing more than readers on two doors. A complex with contractors, deliveries and staff shifts needs zones, schedules and visitor handling that does not create a queue at the gate every morning.
Where you already have gates, booms or turnstiles, we integrate with them rather than replacing working hardware.
Capabilities
What this covers
Biometric readers
Fingerprint and facial recognition readers, including options that work reliably for staff whose fingerprints are worn from manual work.
Card, fob & PIN access
Proximity card and fob systems with per-person permissions, lost-card revocation, and time-based access rules.
Gate & boom automation
Automated gate and boom installation, motor replacement, safety beams and remote or app-based operation.
Turnstiles & pedestrian control
Turnstile and pedestrian lane installation for staff entrances and high-traffic access points.
Visitor management
Visitor and contractor registration with a searchable record of who was on site — including for evacuation roll-call.
Time & attendance
Clocking data captured at the reader and exported into payroll, removing manual timesheets and the disputes that come with them.
Typical work
What people ask us for
A few of the situations this service is most often called in for.
Body corporates
Resident and visitor access
Residents through on tag or biometric, visitors registered at the gate, and a record of both without a guard writing in a book.
Schools & education
Controlled campus entry
Staff and pupil access by zone and schedule, with visitor registration at reception and a live on-site list for emergencies.
Warehousing & logistics
Shift clocking and contractor control
Time and attendance feeding payroll directly, with separate contractor permissions limited to the areas and hours they need.
How it works
From first call to working system
No surprises, and no commitment until you have a written quote in front of you.
Site survey
We come out and look at the actual site — what is there, what the constraints are, and what you are trying to achieve. No charge, no obligation.
Written quote
A quote that itemises equipment and labour separately, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and compare it properly.
Installation
Scheduled around your operating hours where possible. Cabling is labelled and documented, and we clean up after ourselves.
Handover & support
We show your team how to use it before we leave, and you get documentation. Ongoing maintenance agreements are available.
Service areas
Access Control across our service areas
On site for surveys, installation and maintenance across these areas.
FAQ
Access Control — common questions
Can access control integrate with our cameras?
Yes, and it is worth doing. Linking an access event to camera footage means you can see who actually used a credential, which is what you need when a tag has been shared or lost.
What happens during a power failure?
Systems are installed with battery backup, and door hardware is specified fail-safe or fail-secure depending on whether the priority at that door is escape or security. We will walk you through that choice per door.
Do fingerprint readers work for everyone?
Not always — worn fingerprints from manual work are a genuine and common problem. Where that applies we specify facial recognition or card-based access for those staff instead, rather than leaving people unable to clock in.
Can we export clocking data into our payroll system?
Yes. Time and attendance data exports in standard formats. We confirm compatibility with your payroll package before quoting.
Need more than one of these? See all four services — most sites combine two or three.
